Are Raisins Healthy For Birds?

raisin-healthy-for-birds

Yes, of course! Wild birds LOVE to eat raisins, especially robins, waxwings, mockingbirds and bluebirds. Mix in a few spoonfuls of raisins into your You Do It Suet® cake and see what birds appear.  You can always adjust the ingredients in your suet cake mixture to fit you and your wild birds needs.

For better digestion, either add raisins to a suet cake or soak them in water and place them on a flat feeder for the wild birds.

Raisins are dried grapes and they are a rich source of energy, vitamins and minerals.  The perfect pick me up for wild birds during the cooler Winter months when food is scarce.
