Bacon Fat in Your Soup???

bacon-fat-soup-reuse

Did you know that you can substitute bacon fat in any recipe that calls for butter? Yes it is true! Not only can your neighborhood birds benefit from the bacon fat drippings but you too can use the bacon fat in your own cooking. For example, the next time you get ready to make a homemade soup that calls for butter, use bacon fat instead. Just use an equal amount of bacon fat and your soup will taste much better! To store your bacon fat, you can place ALL bacon fat drippings in a You Do It Suet® mold and store it in your freezer. When ready to use, just scoop out what you need and place the mold back in the freezer until the next time. It really is that simple.
