Homemade Suet

Making your own homemade suet to feed your neighborhood birds is easier than you would think.  For those who are meat eaters, you have excess grease on a regular basis, from meats such as: Bacon, Beef, Chicken and Turkey.  When you are cooking, all you need to do is pour your excess grease into a You Do It Suet®, add a few ingredients that can be found right in your kitchen, once hardened, pop out your homemade suet cake and place in any standard suet cage and watch your birds enjoy!

Homemade suet is the perfect addition to every kitchen, it can even be a family project. Once the excess grease has been added to your You Do It Suet®, ask your kids to add some of the following ingredients: peanut butter, peanuts, walnuts, almonds, pecans, corn mean, coconut flakes, raisins, flour, sugar, meal worms and then stir together until blended. Once the You Do It Suet® cake is hardened, pop it out and place in any standard suet cage and your neighborhood birds will thank you!
