Storing You Do It Suet® Cakes

To store your You Do It Suet® cakes for later use all you need to do is wrap each one in plastic wrap and store them in your fridge or freezer. They can be stored as long as needed. Just remove the plastic wrap when ready to feed to your neighborhood birds. There are times when I will have 5-10 You Do It Suet® cakes stored in my fridge. One reason I have so many is because I enjoy cooking ground beef for tacos and fried bacon in the Summer, and the birds do not need the extra fat during the Summer months, so I store the suet cakes until the Fall/Winter comes around.

Creating your own suet cakes using leftover grease (fat) when cooking your regular meals is so easy. Instead of pouring the excess grease into a tin can or an empty jar and tossing it in the trash, you can pour your excess grease into a You Do It Suet® mold and help keep the birds warm during the cold Winter months.
